The
Huron County Rural Schools consist of 7 one-room schools. The student
count varies from school to school, but generally ranges from 10-30
students. Each district employs one individual who not only acts as
teacher, but also serves in a variety of roles such as principal,
secretary, nurse, janitor, etc. Staff members also included one or
two paraprofessionals in each school. As a consortium, the seven schools
also receive services from one special education teacher, one Title
I teacher, one art teacher, and one music teacher. These teachers
travel from school to school each week in order to meet the needs
of our students.
Residents in each district serve as school board members on a 3 or
5 person team. Board meetings are held on a monthly basis ad are open
to the public.
Please contact the individual school district if you would like more
information. |
