School Improvement
Meeting Minutes The meeting was called to order at 6:35 PM by Kathy Cregeur. People present at the meeting: Kathy Cregeur, Michelle Daniels, Julie Talaski, Jessica Tenbusch, Amy Schweitzer, Kaleena Polega, Anne Kennedy, Linda Koroleski, Rhonda Robinson, and Ben Edwards. The minutes for the April meeting were read. Motion made to accept the minutes by Julie Talaski and seconded by Linda Koroleski. Discussion was held on Quiz Bowl. We will have 3 teams if there is enough participation. The yearly Progress Report was read by Anne Kennedy. Each school will need to approve this at their school board meeting and send a copy of their minutes showing this approval to Peggy Randall. Kathy Cregeur will take a copy of the report to Peggy. The 3-5 year plan was briefly discussed by Kathy Cregeur and progress toward the goals was noted. We will continue to work on this. The PBS Action Plan was presented by Jessica Tenbusch. Lesson plans for each month are now included. Anne Kennedy presented a SAM update. Math and Writing will continue to be the focus, along with PBS. Students will be tested 3 times a year, with progress noted and appropriate interventions taking effect. Anne led a discussion about the 8th grade video. Julie will enquire to see if any K-12 school would be interested in the project. Websites need to be updated on a monthly basis. The Art & Music schedule and wages was discussed. Julie presented the schools with 3 options. Four out of six schools voted for option 3: Verona, Church, Eccles, Big Burning. The other schools, Adams & Kipper, are to let Julie know their decision. Title I schedule was discussed, but no changes were made. The next meeting will be held on September 17, 2009 at Church School.
