Verona Mills School
Verona Mills School was first constructed in 1867 and had an enrollment of over one hundred students. That building was destroyed by a fire in March of 1980, and was replaced by the fall of that year. It now houses our current enrollment of 24 students K-8.
The bell that hung in the original structure survived the fire and again hangs at the school site. The bell was dedicated in the summer of 1992 to the memory of Jason R. Kiehl, who attended Verona Mills School from 1979 to 1988. Due to our small size, our school and teachers are able to offer unique opportunities found in few districts. Our curriculum offers academic study and also includes important social and emotional components.
